Revenue of $1.24 billion beat the API Ninjas estimate of $1.07 billion by 15.8%, and non-GAAP diluted EPS of $0.94 beat the $0.69 estimate by 36.0%.
Full-year revenue guidance went up for the third time this year, to $4.4 billion-$4.6 billion, approximately 122% growth at the midpoint against the 60% set out at the first-quarter call; non-GAAP operating income was raised to $960 million-$1.03 billion and non-GAAP diluted EPS to $3.10-$3.40.
The gross margin outlook stayed at approximately 34% while the revenue guide rose, and the quarter just reported printed 34.5% - the raise is volume, not price or cost.
Cash ran the other way: operating cash flow was a use of $27 million and free cash flow a use of $181 million, against $286 million of operating income and $153 million of capital expenditure in the quarter.
The one thing that matters: record profitability did not arrive as cash, and management described contract assets turning without attaching a figure or a date to it.

Management commentary
The raise rests on backlog assessed customer by customer against site readiness plus a probability-weighted pipeline, and management said "the timing of a small number of deliveries around year-end will determine where in the range we land."
Backlog was said to be expanding faster than revenue, but management declined to bracket that growth and deferred the figure to full-year 2027 guidance at the next print.
On margin, ramping new production lines and expediting deliveries were named as near-term costs, with engineering, sourcing and manufacturing cost-reduction programs still to flow through to cost of goods sold.
On cash, management called the business self-funding, said the quarterly operating use was not the start of a trend, and put the focus on turning receivables and contract assets through billing milestones.
Commercial items cited were a 700 megawatt carbon-capture project with AEP supplying Google, a conditional U.S. Army award to partner Indelible, first Texas shipments this quarter, and a first power block ready at the Nebius site in New Jersey.
Quality of earnings
The profit step-up is operating leverage, not one-off items. Revenue grew 138% year-over-year while operating expenses of $141 million grew 26%, lifting operating margin to 23.1% from 8.9% and operating income to $286 million.
The margin gain is broad rather than mix. Product gross margin of 38.4% rose 250 basis points year-over-year and services of 21.4% rose 700 basis points, carrying total gross margin to 34.5%, up 412 basis points, with installation timing a partial offset.
Earnings outran cash collection. Against $286 million of operating income, cash from operations was a use of $27 million and free cash flow a use of $181 million after $153 million of capital expenditure; year-to-date free cash flow of positive $42 million rests on the first half.
Gotchas & watch items
The full-year non-GAAP gross margin outlook stays at approximately 34% after a 34.5% quarter, so the fourth quarter embedded in the raised revenue guide carries no margin progress despite higher volume.
Installation revenue of $84.9 million grew 66% sequentially while service revenue of $67.6 million was roughly flat - the line management named as the drag on total gross margin is the fastest-growing one.
Cash of $2.5 billion is roughly level with the start of the year while year-to-date capital expenditure reached $231 million, and the Fremont footprint is being expanded for capacity beyond the 5 gigawatt milestone with no timeline or cost given.
Product revenue of $1.07 billion is 87% of the total, so the quarterly result turns on when a small number of system deliveries are accepted; management tied where the full-year range lands to deliveries around year-end.
