Highlights & what matters
- Revenue beat: $1.56 billion against a $1.52 billion consensus (beat carried from the preliminary); non-GAAP diluted EPS of $1.65 beat the $1.47 estimate.
- Guidance raised across the board: FY2026 organic revenue growth to 15% from 13%-13.5%, reported growth to 20% from 18%-18.5%, and non-GAAP income from operations to $1.19-$1.2 billion from $1.135-$1.155 billion. Q4 revenue is guided to $1.595-$1.605 billion, 11%-12% organic.
- The preliminary 2027 outlook is the call's new information: at least 10% organic growth against a 7%-8% investor day framework, and non-GAAP income from operations of at least $1.35 billion, up from the at least $1.23 billion given on the Q4 2025 call.
- Growth is broad outside messaging: self-serve grew 30% plus, voice 20% plus, software add-ons 25% plus, and the first eight-figure conversations deal was signed. Messaging, about 60% of revenue, slowed to 17% organic from 18% in Q2.
- The one thing that matters: profit guidance is stepping up faster than growth. Q4 organic growth of 11%-12% follows 16% in Q3, yet full-year and 2027 profit targets both rose, so operating leverage rather than acceleration is carrying the outlook.

Management commentary
- The CFO said the Q3 beat of roughly 4 points over the high end of guidance is normal. The 5%+ beats of the first half were not expected to repeat, and Q3's smaller beat was driven by messaging.
- Q4 guidance of 11%-12% organic growth was described as the strongest quarterly revenue guidance in several years. The CFO pointed to prudent planning for a volatile, usage-based holiday quarter.
- The identity product is in private beta, with general availability planned for next year. Monetization is expected to be usage-based and to carry a software-like gross margin uplift; pricing will come at GA.
- Management said: "we didn't and still don't expect 5%+ beats". The Q4 profit guide also absorbs new R&D and go-to-market headcount added in Q3.
- 2027 detail was deferred to the Q4 call, and an investor day is set for April 13-14, 2027, alongside SIGNAL.
Quality of earnings
- Reported growth overstates the organic picture. Revenue grew 20% reported but 16% organic: $53 million of incremental U.S. carrier passthrough fees added revenue with no gross profit. The same fees cut non-GAAP gross margin to 49.2%, down 90 bps; without them it would have been up 80 bps.
- The operating income beat had a non-recurring helper. Non-GAAP income from operations of $326 million included roughly $11 million of platform credits, which management said were higher than anticipated. That partly explains the step down to $300-$310 million guided for Q4.
- Cash and dilution back the earnings. Free cash flow of $370 million ran above $326 million of non-GAAP operating income, and stock-based compensation fell to 9.9% of revenue, down 230 bps year over year. The gap to GAAP income from operations of $149 million remains wide.
Gotchas & watch items
- The expansion rate is flattered: incremental carrier fees contributed roughly 4 points of the 114% Dollar-Based Net Expansion Rate, and roughly 7 points of messaging's 24% revenue growth.
- Gross profit tailwinds are ending: Q4 gross profit growth is guided only in line with 11%-12% organic revenue growth, because holiday hosting costs are rising and the email cloud migration savings are now fully in the base.
- The messaging slowdown is ISV-driven: ISV messaging lapped Q3 2025, when that segment accelerated above 20%, and organic messaging growth slipped to 17% from 18%.
- Voice is a small but fast-growing line: self-serve voice is growing about 55%, but total self-serve is only roughly 15% of revenue and voice is a fraction of that.
