Net sales of $7.23 billion beat the $6.87 billion estimate by 5.2%, and adjusted EPS of $5.77 beat the $4.70 expected by 22.8%.
Full-year guidance was raised again: sales of about $26.8-27 billion on 14-15% reported growth, adjusted EBITDA margin of about 7.2%, and adjusted EPS of $18-18.50.
Profitability moved with the volume. Adjusted EBITDA rose 33% to a record $562 million with margin up about 100 basis points to 7.8%, gross margin at 21.7% and SG&A about 50 basis points better.
Data center is now a company-wide engine rather than a CSS line: third quarter data center sales rose about 55% to $1.8 billion, roughly 23% of sales on a trailing basis, and EES data center sales more than doubled.
The one thing that matters: backlog, not the quarter, is what was disclosed - records in all three units, up about 140% at CSS, 40% at EES and 90% at UBS, on multi-year customer commitments, which is the visibility behind a guidance raise this large.

Management commentary
Engel said sales, backlog, operating profit and earnings per share all set records that exceeded expectations, and that sales excluding data centers grew high single digits.
On the scale of the order book, Engel said: 'our backlog was up over 80% to a new record level for each of our three business units.'
Dev said backlog growth is being fuelled by multi-year customer commitments across communications, security, electrical, utility and power.
For 2027, Engel guided to sales up mid to high single digits with continued margin expansion, with a full outlook due with fourth quarter results in February.
A virtual investor event on November 10 will cover the data center position across white space, gray space and power infrastructure.
Quality of earnings
The growth is volume, not price. Of 17% organic growth, about 3 points came from pricing and about 14 from volume, with positive organic growth in all three business units.
The earnings gain is operating leverage rather than cost cutting. Adjusted EBITDA up 33% on 17% organic growth, gross margin at 21.7%, and SG&A 50 basis points better even while the company funds footprint and capability expansion.
Cash lagged earnings by design. Free cash flow of $184 million against $562 million of adjusted EBITDA as working capital funded sequential growth, with net working capital held at about 20% of trailing twelve-month sales and leverage still improving to 2.8 times from 3.4 times at year-end.
Gotchas & watch items
Free cash flow guidance was maintained despite a materially higher sales plan - the raise assumes working-capital initiatives absorb the growth that record backlog will consume.
UBS is the soft spot the headline hides: sales up 6% with broadband flat against a prior-year quarter up over 20%, and adjusted EBITDA up just 6% to $158 million.
The fourth quarter is already running ahead of its own guide: preliminary October sales per workday are up in the high teens against low-to-mid-teens reported growth guided for the quarter.
Data center is margin accretive, not dilutive - CSS adjusted EBITDA margin reached a record 10.7%, up 160 basis points, as data center scaled to about 23% of company sales.
